Fast credit report repair has become a booming business at this day and age. Credit repair services have been present all over the United States and other countries. The society has become dependent to the influence of credit cards and this dominance has resulted to main issues like foreclosures, increase interest rates as well as the annual percentage rate and other problems concerning credit repairs.

Going on a fast credit report repair needs to have a check on your credit score. Taking the responsibility in checking your credit score will not by any means affect your credit score. The first thing you need to consider is by getting a copy of your report in 3 major credit bureaus and make some comparisons and analysis in order to begin with the negotiating process. The negotiation will start the moment you pull a copy of your credit report and knowing the collections to pay off. Getting a letter of correspondence to the 3 major credit bureaus will help in scoring through the collection. If you are not able to acquire the service of a collection company to be of assistance to you then you have to make certain that you are able to obtain the letter they endow with.

The moment you start spending your credit card in exchange for goods and services to the point of paying them on an up to date basis, taking full responsibility is necessary. Thus, checking for incorrect and inexact information is needed coupled with paying off of your debts. Incorrect information should be taken with utmost attention and making disputes can be done through letter of correspondence and online disputes that are considered to be efficient and faster way of correcting your credit rating information.

The moment you pay your collections, you will then have to take the initiative to revisit your report. A lot of collection companies don’t keep an up to date query of information as they are intended to do and so doing your part is considered essential.

Fast credit report repair can also be done by means of establishing new ones. Through this, you will be able to establish a new and favorable credit standing. The quickest way of making all this possible is by acquiring a secured credit card. There are a lot of financial institutions and bank companies that offers good cards and will help you in having an opportunity to rebuild and establish your credit, this way you can have positive image to the 3 credit bureaus. And once you’ve proven that you can maintain a good payment history then there are greater tendencies of acquiring different offers from other credit card companies.

Thus, it is important to keep in mind that once you are able to show that you are creditworthy, you must continue to improve your standing and avoid making the same mistakes again. Remember to make payments on time and most of all use your plastic with greater responsibility and care.

Credit score repair means that you want to take steps to improve the credit score you have on your credit report. A good credit score means that creditors see you as a good risk to repay the money you borrow. The higher your score, the more loans and lower interest rates you are likely to qualify for. If you have a low credit score, then you do need to consider ways of credit score repair.

What does my credit score mean? This is one question that people often ask when they get their free credit report. In order to do well with credit score repair, it is necessary to know what information the score is based on. One important factor is your payment history. This is the details of your accounts, your monthly payments and whether or not you make them on time. If this is what is causing you to have a low credit score, then a simple way of repairing your credit score is to start paying all your bills before the due date.

What is considered a good credit score? Credit scores range from 375 to 900. Most people with good credit have a score around 600 to 650. If you have a score higher than 650, then you are in good financial shape when it comes to getting credit and you don’t have to worry about credit score repair. It is when you see your score below 550, then you have to start taking steps to repair the score.

How can I find out what my credit score means? If you look for information about credit scores online, then you will find the percentages that each of the following are involved in computing the score: payment history, amount of money you owe, length of time you have been borrowing, the types of credit you use and the amount of credit you have received recently. There is also a section of your credit report that tells how many times you have applied for credit in the past few months. If there is a list of names, you have to stop applying in order to do credit score repair.

Credit score repair is not something that will happen after a month of paying your bills on time. It is something you have to work at and it could take six months or more for you to notice a gain in your credit score repair. Just keep the range of a good credit score in mind and work at paying your bills. No one can do this for you – only you.

Credit score repair is perfectly possible, despite what you may have been told. But don’t expect it to be fast.

To download a free copy of Peter’s Credit Repair book visit Peter’s Website Credit Repair Answers and find out about Credit Bureaus and more, including Credit Repair Services, Free Credit Reports, and Online Credit Repair.

A low credit score can cause you to pay higher interest rates. You can raise your credit score with these 7 easy steps for fast credit report repair and pay lower interest rates.

Step #1: Get a copy of your free credit report and scores from all three credit reporting agencies (Experian, Equifax, and Transunion). You will need these reports to determine what information needs to be corrected. The website listed below will show you how to get these for free.

Step #2: Check all the personal information on your credit reports. This includes, name, social security number, address, telephone, etc.

Step #3: Look closely at the negative items on your report. Make sure everything about these negative items are correct. Any incorrect entries such as dates, amounts, etc. should be reported to the agencies showing the incorrect information. You can often work with the lender that is reporting those negative items and have them removed. You never know unless you ask. You may need a sample credit repair letter to get these fixed. You can obtain one from many websites on the internet. The one I have had the most success with can be found at the website below.

Step #4: Look at all your credit limits and make sure they are stated properly on all three credit reports. If the debt to credit limit ratio is low, your score will be improved. If the credit line is reported low then this ratio will be high causing your FICO score to decrease. Use the credit repair letter to fix this.

Step #5: Avoid applying for any credit cards or loans and do not close any credit card accounts. Closing accounts can often decrease your credit score.

Step #6: If you can reduce as many of your debts to below 30%. Since this takes time, you may not have a chance to do this. However, this will help your score tremendously.

I will tell you it will generally take up to 30 days for any of the reported items to be reflected on your credit reports. However, if you can wait a minimum of 90 days you should be able to increase your credit score by as much as 200 points. After the 90 days get another copy of your to see how much you have improved.

These are just a few things you can do for a fast credit report repair. You can find other solutions for credit repair at [http://www.your-credit-solution.com].

Are credit problems affecting your lifestyle? We have simple solutions to improve your credit score. We show you how to get all 3 credit reports and credit scores free. We can also show you how easy it is to get out of debt and own your paycheck again. It is not paying off the highest interest rate debt first. That is the slowest way to get out of debt. The more debt you have the faster you will be debt free. Find out how at [http://www.your-credit-solution.com]

Credit scores are the determining factor on how good the deal is for most of the major purchases we make in life. Managing your credit wisely can save thousands of dollars over one’s lifetime and even contribute to a comfortable retirement. Think about this, improving your credit scores by 50 points can save around $33,000 over the life of the average mortgage. If you also consider the likelihood that you will also pay higher rates on car loans, and credit were talking about a huge sum of money. What if you were able to put all of that money into a retirement account, wow!

Before we get started, I would like to touch on the “companies” that advertise that they can magically clean your credit and have your scores up in a matter of days. In my opinion any company that makes such a claim is less than legitimate at best. The simple fact is that it’s ultimately the credit bureaus that will update your scores via the information they receive. By law, credit bureaus cannot treat you any differently than the people you hire to clean up your credit. This means that Know-how and hard work are the only differences between you and credit repair companies. So if you are willing to learn a little and roll up your sleeves you can save some money.

Don’t get me wrong, there are a lot of legitimate credit repair companies that perform great a services for their clients. Depending on how bad your credit is repairing your credit can be a lot of work. If you are unable to spend the time or you lack the “stomach” to deal with collection agents then I suggest that you look into hiring a legitimate credit repair company. The only downside is that it can be very expensive and the money you spend paying them to repair your credit can be used paying down debt.

3 Tips for Fast Credit Report Repair

1) Opt out of all credit bureau solicitations – Have you ever wondered how you get “pre-approved” credit card and mortgage offers? Credit bureaus actually sell your information to companies to solicit you. These leads are furnished to the solicitors by credit type and a credit score range. The credit bureaus then “ding” your credit score 3 – 10 points for the inquiries! The good news is that you can “opt out” from this practice and it will raise your credit score 3 – 10 points within a week. You can find the website here: http://www.optoutprescreen.com.

2) Validate all debts as real debts on your bureau – This action requires that you have a credit bureau in hand. If you are serious about cleaning your credit it is crucial that you have one it will be your blue-print. You will need to pony up about $40 bucks to get a credit report with all 3 bureaus and scores. Many companies offer “free” credit reports if you join their credit monitoring service that ironically cost around $40 bucks.

With Credit report in hand, you need to validate ALL debts with collection agencies that are reporting on your credit bureau. Look for debts that are older than 7 years old, (from the charge-off date) the credit bureaus have remove these by law. Dispute these debts with the credit bureaus NOT the collection agencies. Next, look for duplicate collections, many collection agencies will package and sell your debt to other companies and never remove their original report. Send a letter to the credit bureaus with an explanation asking that they remove the debt.

3) Dispute ALL debts with the credit bureaus – Dispute all late payments, collections and negative remarks that appear on all 3 credit bureaus, not the collection agencies. In the dispute letter simply state that you do not believe the debt is yours and ask them to have the reporting agency to prove that you owe the debt. In the event it is a late payment simply say that you weren’t late.You can find a good letter by following the link above.

Note: When I say dispute all items I mean all negative items whether they are a legitimate debt or not. By law the collection agencies have to prove that you owe the debt within a reasonable amount of time or remove the remark on your bureau. Many collection agencies are too busy or unable to respond to the credit bureau’s request. When this happens the credit bureaus have to remove the negative remarks regardless of their legitimacy.

10 Ground Rules for Dealing with Collection Agencies

To use an analogy, credit collection agents are the Devil incarnate and they are on commission.
Arguing with the Devil is fruitless; they hold the gold and will ultimately win the argument.
Speaking with the “supervisor” usually will not work; he got his position by being the meanest Devil.
The Devil will lie and cheat, it is his nature. Do not EVER give debit card numbers, checks numbers, credit card numbers, or bank accounts over the phone to a collection agency.
Make any and every payment you send to them with a money order or certified funds.
Send all correspondence via certified mail return receipt, leave a paper trail and make a file.
Do not accept a deal or negotiated payoff without having it in writing.
When negotiating a lower payoff take their first offer, they will almost always call back to sweeten their offer.
When negotiating a lower payoff always approach the collection agent from the position “this is all I can afford to pay” not “this is all I am going to pay you”. Refer to rule #2
Always have a copy of your credit report when repairing your credit [http://www.lendfast.com/creditrating/apply.html]!

Obviously, there is a lot more to know than we have mentioned in these three tips. However these three tips will almost always help you with fast credit report repair. NOTE: Executing these three tips you do not want to the collection agencies at this time. If collection agencies update the information on your bureau it can actually lower your credit scores. Do these three steps first before contacting the collection agencies and then you can dance with the devil later.

Is bad credit score preventing you from buying a house or a brand new car? Do you fear being turned down by creditors, employers, insurers and landlords? Do you find yourself asking the same question over and over again:”How to repair my credit report fast?” More than 35 million Americans with less than stellar credit are facing the same fears and problems like you. Some of them have given up fixing credit altogether. Others have embarked on a long journey of financial discipline and careful budget planning. Only a small percentage of people have found that there are far easier and painless ways to repair credit score. The only requirement -credit knowledge.

1 Why it is vital to analyze your credit report?

Your credit report is the blueprint for your credit repair strategy. Take the time and analyze it in depth. There are certain items on your credit reports that cannot be changed-bankruptcy and foreclosures. Everything else, however, can be successfully deleted from your account if you put enough effort in it. Rank the negative items in your report in order of descending importance. Which are the accounts that are affecting your credit most adversely? Once you identify the items, choose your plan of action.

2 Why it is vital to dispute any out-of-date, incorrect or unwanted information?

Statistics shows that more than 40% of credit reports contain some sort of erroneous information. For example-most of your debt gets resold to various collection agencies and may be illegally reposted to your account as new bad debt on the sale date of the debt to the collector. Because of that the collection will be updated and will stay on your report for additional 7 years. This is just a simple example how erroneous information can continue to damage your credit for a number of years.

3 Why is it vital to dispute on many levels?

The negative items in your report are not “set in stone”-they can be deleted. In order to achieve that-dispute any outdated, inaccurate or unwanted info on your report. Dispute with credit bureaus first. Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, they are given 30 days to come up with a decision on your case (45 days if you used the service of annualreport.com). Dispute with debt collectors and collection agencies and ask them to provide verification of debt. If you are dealing with a small debt (below 500), simply pay it off in exchange for the deletion of the item from your record. If your debt exceed 1000 $, negotiate until you reach a satisfactory settlement amount (usually 25% or less). Promise to pay the settlement amount only of they remove the item from your file.

4 Why is it vital to keep written proof of your communications?

Don’t trust anything or anybody in the credit world…until you see it on paper. Sometimes hours of negotiation with a customer representative will end up with a deal. But the next time you call, you will find that there is no record of it. And you are back to square one. Keep track of names, dates, confirmation numbers. Always use a certified mail when communication with credit bureaus, debt collectors and creditors. The ultimate goal is to have written proof of every step of the credit repair process.

The answer to the question “How to repair my credit report fast?” is simple-learn everything about the loopholes and the shortcuts in the credit system. Once you start thinking outside the box, you will realize how easy credit repair actually is.

Many consumers will know long before they make a big financial move that they intend to do so. Rarely do consumers who work for a living make an impulse buy as large as a vehicle or home. Such large investments do require some forethought and financial planning. Part of that planning should be to investigate one’s existing credit score and work on improving one’s credit rating well before financing ventures are sought out.

The Problem With Waiting

Consumers who are about to embark on a big-ticket purchase such as the dream home they finally found will suddenly come to realize the importance of their credit even if they paid it no attention in the past. When a consumer finds the house they now can not live without, they will need to apply for a mortgage with a lender. The lender will make their decision based largely on a consumer’s credit score. If that score is low and the credit history is marred by financial issues, there is a strong likelihood the loan application will be denied right away.

The problem with waiting is that while credit improvement is always possible, it takes time to make a credit score get better. Consumers will have to put forth the effort to make their credit better. Bills will need to be paid on time and open accounts analyzed in order for credit scores to rise. Unpaid creditor balances should be eliminated as efficiently as possible.

Looking at the Timeline

These actions are the only way to improve existing credit scores. They do work but it will not be an overnight activity. Once a consumer orders their credit reports, it takes up to 45 days for the credit reporting bureaus to investigate and correct inaccurate information that a consumer disputes with the bureaus. Creditors will take even longer to update score-relevant credit information. It can take several months for consumers to notice a difference after paying debts on time and avoiding new lines of credit.

For those with plans of financing something in the future, there should be a credit repair lead time of at least 6 months, if not a year, if the consumer wants to make a marked difference. With this amount of time, consumers will have the ability to review the details of the credit and make the necessary effort to repair past financial mistakes.

Credit Matters Elsewhere

Credit scores matter for much more than just mortgage loans and vehicle financing. These days industries of all kinds are relying on a consumer credit score to make important decisions that affect a consumer’s life. For instance, basic services like electricity may require a credit check when new customers apply for service. Without a good credit record, customers will likely have to pay a hefty down payment in order to get services activated.

For consumers looking for a new job, especially in the areas of finance or for government employment, a credit score can make or break your chances of being hired. Low credit scores can indicate that the applicant has difficulty managing their own financial matters and may not have the characteristics to be successful at a specific job. If a consumer is looking for a new place to live, it is important to know that many landlords will also require a credit check before agreeing to rent.

Those who drive and must have car insurance coverage to stay within the laws will find they must spend more for insurance premiums than another person with similar insurance needs. Insurance companies use credit scores to predict reckless behavior. Studies show a correlation between low credit scores and the increased likelihood that policyholders will file one or more claims.

Get Your Act Together

Because credit matters in more places than loan offices these days, it is important to keep credit scores high and histories maintained. Ideally, all consumers should request their free annual copy of their credit report from each of the consumer credit reporting bureaus. Credit scores are not part of the free report but can be purchased for a small fee from the credit reporting agencies.

Once the reports come in, consumers should analyze every bit of information the reports contain and dispute all inaccurate/unknown information with the credit bureaus. Investigations will be launched into your dispute and incorrect information will be removed from a credit report. This step alone has improved many consumer credit scores significantly. More than 80% of credit reports are found to contain at least one mistake.

After reviewing and disputing information, consumers need to maintain their active accounts with on-time payments every month. Debts should be eliminated as quickly as possible to improve credit to income ratios. After several months of good payment activity and no new applications for credit, consumers can re-order their credit information for the updated scores before proceeding ahead with request for financing.

Credit repair it is something that thousands of Americans are faced with on a daily basis. Most of them have exceeded their credit card limits and or had trouble making payments on time, these are the most popular bad decisions hindering most people’s credit scores. Repairing your credit isn’t nearly as hard as most people proclaim. Although it may not be difficult it is time consuming.

The first step that needs to be completed when repairing your credit is ordering a copy of your credit report from all three of the major bureaus. There are a plethora of sites online that offer credit reports along with scores.

The Fact act was passed by Congress and allows all consumers one free copy of their credit report a year. Unfortunately these reports do not include scores and are generally lacking in information. These suppliers of these reports are also the three major credit reporting agencies, so it is easy to see that the free credit report will not be of the same quality as a paid credit report and score.

If you are serious about repairing your bad credit the above step is crucial. Keep in mind that you’ll need all three bureaus reports. Lenders and creditors are not obligated to report to any of these bureaus and sometimes only report to one or two, which is why you need all three because there may be negative marks on one report that aren’t on the others. Having all three reports will give you more insight to the mistakes you’ve made in the past and what you need to change for the future.

After receiving your credit reports and scores it’s time to dig in. Read and reread your credit reports until you thoroughly understand what is in them. If you find any errors be sure to report them immediately and writing and by phone. For some reason the average person is skeptical when it comes to contacting the credit reporting agencies. When doing so can easily raise your credit score possibly by hundreds of points. Mistakes are made on a daily basis and it is up to you to keep track of what’s going on your report and making sure it is truthful and up to date.

After checking your credit reports and fixing any errors the next step is to change the way you spend. If irresponsible use of your credit cards is what got you in trouble in the first place a change will have to be made if you want to keep your score high. It’s pretty much impossible to go through life without using lines of credit today so becoming a responsible spender is very important. Don’t spend money that you don’t have another this seems remedial but it’s the truth.

Repairing your credit is not that difficult. Like most things in life it will take time, patience, and some willpower.

The first step in taking command of your credit and your life is to find out where you stand. How’s your credit score? 0-600 Poor, 601-680 Fair, 700-774 Good, 775+ Excellent. Find out your score now! There are no excuses since you can get a Free Credit Score! See your Credit Score for $0 at CreditReportViewer.com. It’s Free and available in seconds.

Need to repair your credit score? Would you like to increase your credit score by 50 to 100 points? If you answered yes, keep reading because you are about to uncover the first 2 steps to repair your credit score:

Step #1 Get a copy of your credit report

The first thing you need to do to repair your credit score is get a copy of your credit report from all of the major credit reporting agencies. Before you can repair your credit score you must first have a starting point.

As of December 2004, in compliance with the Fact Act, consumers in all states are able to get a free copy of their credit report once a year.

Experian, TransUnion, and Equifax are the 3 major credit reporting agencies in the United States. Here’s their contact information:

Experian

PO Box 2002

Allen, TX. 75013

888-397-3742

http://www.experian.com

TransUnion

PO Box 1000

Chester, PA. 19022

800-888-4213

http://www.transunion.com

Equifax

PO Box 740241

Atlanta, GA. 30374

800-685-1111

http://www.equifax.com

Watch out for those no cost credit report offers on the internet. Typically, you have to sign up for some kind of credit monitoring service to get your complementary report.

How to read your report

At first glance, a credit report may look like it’s written in a foreign language. But if you take your time and look through it, you’ll easily be able to understand it. Your job is to locate all the negative items on your report.

You may find alphanumeric coding on your credit report. This coding is used to record the type of account and your payment history. Below is a key indicating what these letters and numbers mean:

O = Open (Open 30 days)

R = Revolving

[Has regular payments and a predetermined spending limit (credit cards)]

I  =  Installment

[Has regular payments and no access to continued spending (mortgage, car loans)]

M = Mortgage

C = Line of credit

0 = Too new to rate

1 = Current, Paid as agreed

2 = 30 days past due

3 = 60 days past due

4 = 90 days past due

5 = 120 days past due

6 = 150 days past due

7 = Account is under a wage earner payment plan or bankruptcy

8 = Repossession or foreclosure

9 = Collection account or charge off account

U = Unrated

If you have this type of coding on your report, you can quickly go down the relevant column and find any negative items. O1, R1 or I1 would indicate an excellent payment history. Obviously, anything ending in 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8 or 9 would indicate a negative payment history on the account.

Step#2 Delete expired accounts

After you have identified your negative credit accounts, determine the age of each account.

After a certain period of time, the negative items on your credit report will expire. Upon expiration, these items should be deleted. If you have a derogatory account that has expired but still shows up on your report, just contact the credit bureau that is reporting the delinquency and ask them to have it removed. This is an easy first step in repairing your credit score.

Here are the expiration guidelines:

Late Payments

30 to 180 day late payments should be deleted after 7 years.

Charge-off Accounts

Should be deleted after 7 years

Collection Accounts

Accounts sent to collections should be deleted 7 years from the date of the original missed payment.

The account will be marked as “paid collection” on your report when you pay the full balance.

If you settle with the collection agency for a reduced amount they will report the account as “paid for less than the total due” or “settled”.

It is best to have the collection agency report the account as “Paid in full” or have the account deleted all together. You don’t want any of your accounts to say “paid collection” or “settled”.

Closed Accounts

If the account had delinquencies, those marks should be deleted 7 years from the date they were reported.

Bankruptcy

Bankruptcies remain on your credit report for 10 years after the filing date.

When you file for bankruptcy, all the accounts included in the bankruptcy should be marked as “Included in BK”. These individual accounts that were part of your bankruptcy should be deleted after 7 years.

Judgments

Most judgments, including small claims, civil and child support, should be deleted after 7 years from the filing date.

Tax Liens

City, county, state and federal tax liens are especially harmful because they can remain on your credit report indefinitely.

Again, if you have any negative accounts that meet these expiration guidelines write or email the credit bureau reporting the item and ask them to have it deleted. This is an easy first step that can improve your credit rating quickly.

Here’s a sample of such a request:

Date

I research techniques on how to repair credit scores often, mainly, for my own credit history and repair attempts. Unfortunately the current economy left me without a job and it took longer than expected for me to get back on my feet. Building reserves is tough enough, going through them and dipping into credit cards is even harder. Here’s a little of all I’ve picked up on credit and credit repair while increasing my credit score by 75 points.

Let me start by saying that I understand how people feel when there’s no way to pay a bill. You struggle with it inside. Myself, I always paid my bills on time and usually in full. If I had been dealing directly with my original creditors I would have settled in higher amounts on all my accounts. Unfortunately they sold my accounts to collection companies and after a short while I built a serious resentment for these companies. They treat me with no respect and harass me at all hours of the day. I finally got a new job and they started calling there. Getting a job with bad credit was hard enough, then having to deal with the calls at work. Forget about it.

For that reason I looked for ways to get these companies off my back and pay them as close to nothing as possible. Everything I had read to that point was information on how to dispute an account. I had read about learning about credit laws but I never really saw the point to it until I found a manual that told me why knowing the laws would help me. I assumed the laws were there to help the creditors not me. I was wrong. They have rules and if they don’t follow them you can get their accounts off your report.

The Three techniques below made a huge difference on how I worked with those collection companies.

First, making sure the collection company has all its licensing, bonding and insurance requirements. If they collect outside of their state, they must have the bonding licensing and insurance for any other states they collect in. Many times they only have for their home state because of the cost involved. If they don’t comply, they can’t collect from you and they have to remove it.

Two, requesting that the collection company show actual proof they are allowed, by the original creditor, to collect from me. If they don’t show proof, they can’t collect from you and you can dispute it with the credit bureaus.

Last, is getting them to show proof you owe the debt. This sound as something easy for them to have and provide evidence, yet they have to provide copies of the original contract you signed when applying for the account. If they don’t have it they can’t collect. With many credit card companies merging, it gets more difficult for them to produce them. Again dispute and remove it.

Those three saved me a lot of money. I did settle for a deletion letter on a couple of accounts but most I was able to remove with the techniques above. I hope I annoyed them as much as they annoyed me.

Credit repair techniques change. Using the most current techniques to dispute correctly has worked well for me. I understand my credit now and strongly recommend consumers understand this critical aspect of their financial life. There’s a lot of information out there. Below is what helped me the most.
